It's no secret that Apple is extremely curious in the health applications of its technology. The Apple Watch has been capable of giving electrocardiograms and detecting irregular heart rhythms since the Apple Ascertain Series 4, and more health checks are supposedly on the way in the Apple Follow 8.
Now a brand-new letters patent, uncovered by AppleInsider, shows how a prospective Apple Watch out could measure blood pressure, without needing to attach unrivalled of those inflating cuffs.

Although wrist-based wearables are never mentioned, the Apple Watch would seem the most sensible name and address. The patent, entitled "Stretchable Blood Pressure Cuff", explains how a stretchable band could secure an expansive bladder against the body, "compression matchless or more blood vessels in the branch and restricting and/or stopping blood flow through the vessels." The resulting data could be "wont to determine one OR Thomas More physiological parameters of a user such as blood pressure of the exploiter."
It would work via "a bladder assembly configured to retain a runny within an inner chamber."
It sounds a trifle uncomfortable, then again so is using a blood pressure measuring cuff at the Charles Herbert Best of times.
